plasticLIFEcycle at the Bytom Fireworks Festival

On Sep­tem­ber 13, 2025, we had the plea­sure of tak­ing part in the Bytom Fire­works Fes­ti­val – a cel­e­bra­tion of non-gov­ern­men­tal orga­ni­za­tions held at Sobies­ki Square. The event was orga­nized by the Bytom branch and the Bytom Pub­lic Ben­e­fit Coun­cil, bring­ing togeth­er near­ly 40 orga­ni­za­tions work­ing in Bytom for the ben­e­fit of its res­i­dents.

Dis­cus­sions on Recy­cling and New Tech­nolo­gies
Our stand attract­ed great inter­est through­out the day. Vis­i­tors of all ages were eager to talk about the cir­cu­lar econ­o­my, plas­tic reuse, and inno­v­a­tive tech­nolo­gies that can enhance recy­cling process­es. Par­tic­u­lar atten­tion was drawn to PLC tech­nol­o­gy and 3D print­ing – we show­cased a work­ing 3D print­er on-site, which fas­ci­nat­ed guests and sparked many inspir­ing con­ver­sa­tions.

Joint Action for the Com­mu­ni­ty
The fes­ti­val high­light­ed the impor­tant role that non-gov­ern­men­tal orga­ni­za­tions play in build­ing local com­mu­ni­ties and rais­ing envi­ron­men­tal aware­ness. It was an excel­lent oppor­tu­ni­ty to exchange expe­ri­ences and present ini­tia­tives that com­bine envi­ron­men­tal care with mod­ern, for­ward-think­ing solu­tions.
