Young people and students explore how sustainable development can be applied in real-life situations to create lasting positive change.

On July 30, 2025, INVESTEKO S.A. once again opened its doors to environmental education.
A group of high school and university students visited the company’s headquarters to take part in a meeting organized as part of the plasticLIFEcycle project and the In Vivo Association’s educational campaign.

The aim of the event was not only to share knowledge about the responsible use of plastics, but above all, to demonstrate how practical actions can genuinely support the principles of sustainable development.

Plastics – A Challenge of Our Times
The meeting began with an interactive lecture delivered by Piotr Góral from EkoPartner Silesia Sp. z o.o., who introduced participants to different types of plastics and the challenges resulting from their improper use.

Instead of a traditional presentation, the session featured a series of hands-on experiments. Participants observed how various materials react to water and fire, an approach that sparked curiosity and prompted numerous questions about changes in odor, consistency, and durability under different temperatures.

From Waste to a Valuable Resource
The next highlight of the program was a visit to the PLC pilot plant, where students witnessed firsthand the process of recovering raw materials from plastic waste.
They followed the material’s journey from the moment it becomes waste to the stage when it gains a second life as a reusable raw material.

Dialogue, Reflection, and Motivation for Action
Following the practical session, participants engaged in a lively discussion. The young people asked questions, shared insights, and reflected on topics such as environmental protection, recycling, and responsible consumer habits.

The event clearly demonstrated that environmental awareness among youth is growing, and that experiential learning, grounded in real-world processes, is an effective way to foster engagement and responsibility.

More Than a Lesson in Recycling
This event was not just a lesson about recycling it became a source of inspiration for conscious, everyday choices.
It showed that actions for the planet begin with decisions made here and now by each and every one of us.

The solution for the management of mixed hard PLASTIC waste by applying CIrCuLar Economy approach.
